Anna’s Hands is a short film created by Ethan Godel, Filip Lee which explores how feelings between friends can shift in just one car ride.

The beautiful set made use of a massive wrap around LED wall at VP Production House in Toronto, Ontario, which made for some realistic backdrops and fun grip/gaffing opportunities for the crew!

This photo is one of my favourites I’ve ever shot. A triple exposure capturing the short film writer, Filip, thinking as he watches production, overlaid with a wide shot of the entire scene, showing said production in action, and finally a medium looking into the window at two of the three protagonists, almost as if to have captured three layers of the projects life in one image; pre-production, production, and the scene itself. An added bonus for me is the way the frame of the car window looks like lines on a winding road going around the writers head.

Using my Minolta XD11 and Vivitar 28mm 2.8f lens, paired with a Soligar external flash attachment, I was able to capture the vastness of the scene as well as some fun close ups. This camera setup paired with Portra 400 film made for some lovely colours and looks!

Using my Nishika N8000 35mm camera and Ilford XP2 400 film I was able to shoot these fun ‘wigglegram’ photos, which bring action and life to the images while providing lots of video editing opportunities for today’s video content favouring world. I also think this can be a great way to quickly show every crew member in a fun and unique fashion!
